open door lodging was founded in 2013 by tim raduenz, a native northern Wisconsinite.

tim’s passion for design and architecture along with his love of the peninsula pushed him to purchase his first property, the original, in ellision bay and he carefully curated the home to offer an elevated stay experience. in seeing the success of his first property, tim expanded his brand by adding three additional residences to the open door lodging portfolio.

in 2018, the beloved bailey’s harbor home was purchased and several new private residential projects commenced. 2021 added the ellison bay family retreat to the collection as well as several homes currently listed on the market.

tim, his wife kim, daughter parker, and dog harley reside in park city utah. he is the lead principle of form+one design, offering services in san francisco, park city, and door county. tim is also the co-proprietor of twelve eleven wine, now pouring at twelve eleven provisions in sister bay, wi.

scott smith, a native of door county, serves as property manager and is available to assist with any stay needs. scott resides in fish creek with his wife kate and their daughter harper.
